Taupta – Coprosma repens

Low-growing shrub or small tree bearing pairs of green very shiny dark green leaves inhabiting the edge of coastal forests and seaside rocks.

A large shrub or a small tree with broad, glossy dark-green leaves commonly used for evergreen hedging. Fruit great for attracting birds. It is shade-tolerant but frost-tender when young and grows typically to 3m x 5m. Fine on the coast or windy spots.
